Centria & The Colorado Convention center expansion
Colorado Convention Center Expansion Project (CCCXP)
Gen3 Construction is the subcontractor for the Colorado Convention Center Expansion Project expected to be completed in late 2023. Gen3 is currently installing 110,000 square feet of the Centria Versawall Insulated Metal Panels that will be enclosing the entire 80,000 square feet expansion; this expansion will be used as a multipurpose room, an outdoor rooftop terrace, and a new kitchen facility. Factoid: this multipurpose room will be the largest in Colorado.
The improvements will ensure the Colorado Convention Center's position as an appealing global competitor while generating an additional $85 million in annual economic impact and other benefits:
- the creation or support of 2,691 jobs, including skilled trades and apprenticeships while offering training opportunities for Denver residents currently out of work
- generate $195 million in labor income
- generate $475 million in anticipated sales
- add approximately $4 billion to the Gross Regional Product (GRP) - the single most useful and comprehensive metric for measuring the economic impact
